How understanding different personality types
can affect your home based business


To be successful in any MLM network marketing business it important to understand the 4 different personality types. Applying this knowledge to our network marketing business can help us understand and bring more people into our on-line business.

Basically there are 4 different types of personalities. Most of us are a various combination of these types. We only need to worry about their predominate trait to help us communicate with these individuals effectively.

The first personality we'll call the Nurturer.

These people are usually teachers, nurses, vets, or any profession that is nurturing. They are soft spoken and very polite. These people don't want to hear your claim that you'll make thousands of dollars in your first month. They will think it's all hype. They dislike pushy people and are over sensitive. They are great team players. Don't try to get these people in your network marketing business overnight.

The 2nd one is the Analyzer.

The second personality is the Analyzer. They are the bookkeepers, engineers, mathematicians of the world. They need and want all the facts. It's important to be accurate and realistic when telling these people about your network marketing business. Always provide facts to support your presentation. They tend to over analyze things and are somewhat pessimistic. They think they are the smartest people in the world and don't like to waste time with chit chat. Give them all the facts about your network marketing business. Don't close them they will close themselves.

The 3rd one is the Socializer.

The next personality type is the Socializer. They are the most direct person on the planet. They want fast results with their business. They like to be the life of the party. They can be sales people, waitresses, bartenders, tour guides or any other outgoing profession. They are very direct and creative. They are motivated by fun and excitement. They frequently have buyer's remorse because they can be a little impulsive. They don't care about facts and figures. They frequently speak fast and get lost on tangents. Their weaknesses are they are very unorganized and lack follow up. On the other hand they can be excellent promoters for your network marketing business.

The last one is the Director

The last personality we'll call the Director. These are the CEO's, doctor's, attorneys and military people. Many of these types are in sales also. I personally find their methods of sales somewhat manipulative. They are all about money and power. They are very closed with their feelings. You will frequently find your conversations with them like pulling teeth trying to extract information out of them. They are very direct often to the point of being rude. They don't like to shop they usually have someone do it for them. If they are shopping or driving they have a get out of my way attitude. They don't like small talk. Don't talk to them about their family or the vacations they might of taken. They like being sold close them. They have a big ego and want to be the leader.

To recruit these people you need to stroke their ego, let them think you need them. Tell them about their chance to make unlimited income. The are excellent when it comes to follow through. If they are coachable they will be an excellent addition to your network marketing business.
